Car rental in Dubrovnik

You can request a change or cancellation by email. A change includes updating the name of the main renter or changing the rental start and/or end date.

If you cancel more than 5 days before the scheduled pick-up date and time, no cancellation fee applies and any amount already paid for the reservation will be refunded.

If you cancel 5 days or fewer before the scheduled pick-up time, a cancellation fee equal to 20% of the total reservation value will apply. The same fee applies if you do not collect the reserved vehicle or cancel after the scheduled pick-up time.

If you booked through an agency, please ask the agency to make any changes or cancellations for you.

Yes. The security deposit can be arranged online before arrival or at the rental desk at pick-up. It is temporarily held on an accepted credit or debit card through pre-authorisation; it is not a charge. A debit card can be used if it supports pre-authorisation and has enough available funds.

The deposit amount depends on the vehicle category and the protection package you choose.
• BASIC PROTECT: the full maximum damage liability for the selected vehicle category is temporarily held on your card.
• SMART PROTECT: 50% of the BASIC PROTECT maximum damage liability is temporarily held on your card.
• PREMIUM PROTECT: 50% of the BASIC PROTECT maximum damage liability is temporarily held on your card.

Important: The security deposit is only a temporary hold on your credit or debit card; it is not a charge. The security deposit and your maximum damage liability are not the same. For example, PREMIUM PROTECT reduces your damage liability to EUR 0.00, but a security deposit is still required.

Yes. You can collect the vehicle in one city and return it in another. This is known as a one-way car rental.

A one-way fee applies according to the current price list unless a special offer clearly states otherwise.

Not necessarily. We use a same-to-same fuel policy, so please return the vehicle with the same fuel level it had at pick-up. If you return it with more fuel, we cannot refund the difference.

Yes, but you need approval from Last Minute Rent a Car before taking the vehicle outside Croatia. Please tell us when arranging your rental if you plan to cross the border.

Once approved, the Cross Border permission must be recorded in your rental agreement, and a fee applies according to the current price list. Your selected protection package remains valid outside Croatia only when the trip has been approved. If you cross the border without notifying us and receiving approval, the Cross Border fee may be charged afterwards.

Every driver must show a valid driving licence and an ID card or passport at pick-up. If the security deposit has not already been arranged online before arrival, you will also need an accepted credit or debit card that supports pre-authorisation and has enough available funds for the deposit. If the deposit is arranged at the rental desk, the cardholder must be present when the vehicle is collected.

We accept American Express, Diners Club, Visa, including Visa Premium, Mastercard and Discover. Both credit and debit cards can be used for payment.

For the security deposit, you can use a credit or debit card if both the card and the issuing bank support pre-authorisation. The card must have enough available funds for the deposit. A card that does not support pre-authorisation cannot be used for the security deposit.

You must have held a valid driving licence for at least 2 years. Some vehicle categories may require more driving experience, and the minimum age can also vary by category. The exact requirements are shown during booking.
