Vehicle issues and damage
Yes. A police report is required for any damage to the rental vehicle unless Last Minute Rent a Car confirms in writing that it is not needed in your specific case.
RA (Road Assistance) is an optional service through which Last Minute Rent a Car arranges roadside help if the vehicle becomes immobilised during your rental.
If you have RA and the vehicle becomes immobilised because of something you caused, such as using the wrong fuel, a punctured or damaged tyre, clutch damage, lost keys, a stuck vehicle or another issue that prevents the car from moving, you will not pay the fee for arranging roadside assistance or towing. The cost of the damage and fixing the cause of the breakdown will still be charged in line with the General Rental Terms and Conditions and the current price list.
If you do not have RA and the vehicle becomes immobilised, you can:
- Contact Last Minute Rent a Car and ask us to arrange roadside assistance. A EUR 50.00 arrangement fee applies, while towing and repair costs are charged separately. The fee and related costs may be charged after the service or when the vehicle is returned.
- Tell Last Minute Rent a Car about the problem, arrange and pay for towing yourself, and have the vehicle transported to the nearest Last Minute Rent a Car location.
Yes. Please inspect the vehicle at pick-up and compare its actual condition with the damage shown on the vehicle condition form.
After signing the rental agreement, you will receive the documents and a link by email where you can upload vehicle photos. If you notice any damage or difference that is not shown on the condition form, photograph it and upload the images using the link as soon as you collect the vehicle.
You do not need to return to the rental location just to report previously unrecorded damage. If you cannot upload the photos or would like us to check something, contact or visit the location where you collected the vehicle.
If any damage or accident occurs, contact the location where you collected the vehicle and the police immediately. A police report is required for your agreed rental conditions and protection package to remain valid.
Contact the location where you collected the vehicle immediately. Lost keys, vehicle documents or number plates are treated as damage caused by negligence, and you will be charged for the resulting costs.
